Tell me about what you do in Kindergarten so far this year? What are the projects you have fun with?
I’ve worked on many projects. My favorite project is doing stuff for my parents at school like making pictures. I did a book about myself, a portrait of me, and it was their Christmas present. Everything we do is fun.
What does being in Kindergarten mean to you?
It means I have to work well and listen to the teacher so when I grow up I will learn and know lots of things because I listened to my teachers.
Why did you want to come to Sacred Heart?
I came to Sacred Heart because I love God and he loves us. I really like him and believe in him and this was all about him and there was a lot of his work here, and I saw that. He likes me and I love him because he helps me and I help him.
What have you learned about yourself by being at Sacred Heart?
I learned that I can do what I want to do and I learn how to do it and I know I can. I’ll be tenacious.
What does God mean to you?
He is real. He means to me that he is true and real and that he takes care of the earth and us. That’s why I appreciate him. He makes me happy.
Does SH feel like a second home? Why?
Yes it does because it just feels like it takes care of me and the people in my class take care of me and the teachers love me and I love them.
How did you feel your first day of school?
I felt like I was going to be so happy that I wanted to stay here every day for school. I felt like I was about to burst into tears because I was so happy. I miss school in the summer, I totally do.
