College Counseling

The college counseling program at Sacred Heart is a comprehensive process that begins with informational group meetings in the ninth grade for students and their parents. Our mission is rooted in our belief that each student is unique and that the college process is an opportunity for growth and self-reflection. At each step of the way, we are here to support and guide each student in finding her best matches for college. Weekly college counseling classes and formal one-on-one meetings begin in the eleventh grade and are supplemented with evening programs with college admissions and financial aid counselors.

More than 70 college representatives visit the school yearly providing both the students and counselors an opportunity to learn more about specific institutions. In addition, we take part in the Manhattan College Fair for New York independent schools in the spring.

"Our mission is rooted in our belief that each student is unique and that the college process is an opportunity for growth and self-reflection."

100% of Sacred Heart graduates continue their studies in four-year colleges and universities. 184 graduates from the Classes of 2006-2009 are presently attending 88 different institutions. On the right column of this page, you will see a full list of where the last four graduating classes, 2006-2009, have matriculated.
