Sacred Heart Alumnae Swimmers Set New Record!

Lia Neal '13 and Katie Ledecky, Stone Ridge '15 helped set a new record at the 2017 Division 1 swimming and diving championship in Indianapolis last weekend!

The two swimmers both attend Stanford University and are on the Cardinal women's swim team, which won the weekend's championship for the first time since 1998. In the competition's final event, the 400 freestyle relay, Katie and Lia helped Stanford set an NCAA, American and championship record of 3:07.61. Katie also set a championship record in the 1,650 freestyle, finishing in 15:07.70.

The Sacred Heart alumnae are both Olympic medalists (Rio 2016, London 2012).
