Alumnae Welcome

Dear Sacred Heart Alumnae Community,

I’m delighted to welcome you to the alumnae portion of our school website! It is comforting to know that the spirit in which St. Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Schools of the Sacred Heart is alive and well at 91st Street. As the oldest independent school for girls in New York City, 91st Street has maintained its spiritual cornerstone, high academic standards and unique heritage, while simultaneously and subtly transforming with the times.

One of these changes is our improved online alumnae community; we invite you to take time to explore these pages, view our calendar of events. We also invite you to connect with us on our private alumnae LinkedIn and facebook accounts, both of which are designed to help you stay in touch and network with your fellow alumnae and maintain a strong personal and professional connections with the entire 91st Street population.

We do hope you will stay in touch on a regular basis and encourage your friends and classmates to do so as well. Please take a few minutes to call the alumnae office or email alumnae@cshnyc.org to share news about your recent relocation, job change, new family addition, volunteer work or latest travel excursion, so we can include your update in our next edition of our alumnae magazine, Les Amies. Also, if you plan to visit an affiliate school in another state or abroad, we invite you to take a photo with Mater and submit the image for our inclusion in our “Mater Around the Globe” feature.

We love seeing you, so please know your attendance at alumnae events and your continued support of the Alumnae Annual Fund is very much appreciated. We welcome you to build an even stronger connection to the 91st Street community by volunteering. We are always looking for new committee members, so log in and let us know if you are interested in volunteering to help us with the annual fund, reunion planning, spiritual events, diversity, professional networking, etc.

As stated in Life at the Sacred Heart, “Wherever you go, whatever road you travel, you will always find a home at the Sacred Heart.” We hope all of our alumnae come back frequently to pay us visits and feel at home while doing so.
