What have been the advantages of an all-girls school environment?

The advantage of an all-girls school environment is that you are around a lot of strong people who will lead the world.

What is unique about Sacred Heart?

There are a lot of activities to do outside of class. If you want to do robotics, or art or music, we have it. Also, we have a dog named Hank in the Upper School- I love seeing him!

What is one of your favorite academic projects?

My favorite project was in Spanish class when we learned about Spanish-speaking countries around the world.  I got to make a slideshow about Spain. We have been making slideshow presentations since Grade 3, when our technology teacher taught us how to make presentations. She taught us that presentations are more than slides, they are an opportunity to share information and work together.

What is your favorite subject?

Science. Right now we are dissecting a worm.  I used to think that worms were so simple but after studying them, I realized that they are a lot more complex.

What does being a student at Sacred Heart mean to you?

It means being well-rounded.  Sacred Heart has everything--a good education and lots of activities.  There are so many things to do here. Also, there are a bunch of nice friends and teachers.  Friends at other schools say they are bored.  Sacred Heart is fun.

Which of the five Sacred Heart Goals means the most you? Explain why.

I like Goal Two because it says that everyone should be respectful and that makes us a good community.

Tell us how Sacred Heart meets your different interests and passions?

It is nice seeing my sister Shelby in the halls.  We have more to talk about because we are in the same place.  We have some of the same teachers and that has helped us become closer.

What do you like to do after school?

Period 10, the last period of the day when all our teachers are available for questions, gives me time to do my homework before I go to tennis lessons twice a week.  I am excited about joining the tennis team in Upper School.

If there was only one word you could use to describe what Sacred Heart means to you, what would it be?

Community.
