What made you choose Sacred Heart?

When I walked into Sacred Heart for the first time, it felt like home. I knew it was a place where I would be challenged academically, but also an environment where I would feel encouraged to learn and do my best.

What have been the advantages of an all-girls education?

I always feel heard and appreciated, and it has allowed me to feel more confident in myself and in my ideas.

Which discipline(s) are you the most passionate about and why?

I love science, especially chemistry and physics. There’s always a new problem to solve or something to explain. It feels like a whole new undiscovered world.

What does being a Sacred Heart student mean to you?

For me, it means that growing as person is just as important as learning. This school has influenced me in the best ways possible, whether that be encouraging me to do more work in the community or making sure I am always working to improve myself. Sacred Heart encourages us to be hard-working students and good people at the same time.

What one accomplishment are you the most proud of and why?

I am most proud of the New Orleans service trip, I grew a lot as a person there even though it was only a week. It was incredible to see the difference a small group of us could make. The trip didn’t just bring the group of us together, it showed the strength and determination of a group of Sacred Heart girls working together on something they’re passionate about.

If you could describe Sacred Heart in one word what would it be and why?

Family - I feel safe around everyone at Sacred Heart, and I always find myself happy to return when I’m not there.

Who or what inspires you?

The other students at Sacred Heart. They are all so driven, kind, and intelligent that it inspires me to try to be a better person myself. Every day, I am surrounded by incredible people, and I can’t help but feel inspired by them.

What will be the biggest thing you take away from your Sacred Heart education?

Anything that is worthwhile takes a lot of hard work. Sacred Heart has taught me not to shy away from these challenges because of what you can learn from them. Sacred Heart has taught me that there is no obstacle too big to overcome as long as I don’t give up.
