Endangered Animal Museum

It was hard to miss the elephant in the room at the annual second grade Endangered Animals Museum!

In this cross-curricular project, each student picked an endangered animal to research in Science and Library. Students then created colorful papier-mache models of their animals in Art and made posters about saving their animals in Writer's Workshop. For the first time, students also incorporated technology, recording themselves talking about their animals in audio-clips accessible on visitor's phones. Students stood by to answer questions as visitors attempted to see at least one animal from every habitat represented. Held in the Ballroom, the ever-popular event was over much too soon!
