In an engaging and interactive presentation, Ms. Pinkney shared illustrations and stories from her award-winning book Sit In: How Four Friends Stood Up by Sitting Down, as well as from her biographies of Duke Ellington, Alvin Ailey, and Sojourner Truth.  She also spoke about her life as a writer.
