Welcome Back!

Ninety-first Street opened its doors last week for the first day of school.

Upper Schoolers began classes on Wednesday, with Middle and Lower School students (Grades 1-4) beginning on Thursday. The Pre-K, Jr. K and Kindergarten classes are phasing in this week.

The community celebrated last Thursday with Rentrée, an annual all-school gathering at Brick Church. Excerpts from Life at the Sacred Heart, aka the little red book, were read to each division, and grades 4, 8, and 12, the oldest grades in the Lower, Middle, and Upper School, were acknowledged as the school's leaders. Seniors received special recognition as they were each called by name and given a white rose.

While the start of a new school year is always exciting, this year is significant because it marks the 200th year of Sacred Heart education in North America.
