What is your earliest memory at Sacred Heart?

My sister was already here and came in Kindergarten. I remember her getting dressed in her pinafore and thinking I wanted to be like her and also go to Sacred Heart.

What have been the advantages of an all-girls school environment?

It isn’t distracting. You can focus on your studies and be yourself without any pressure.

What is unique about Sacred Heart?

We all have something beautiful about ourselves. It just takes time for us to sometimes see what that is. Sacred Heart helps us understand who we are.

What does being a 6th grader mean to you?

It means I have to be very serious about balancing my work and activities. I see the 7th graders, and my sister in 11th grade, and the projects that I will have, and realize I need to have balance.

What does being a student at Sacred Heart mean to you?

Being a Sacred Heart student means that I am a part of two families. I have my mom, dad and sister, and then I have my school family. We all support and help each other.

What have you learned by being at Sacred Heart?

I want to be a lawyer when I grow up. Sacred Heart has taught me to think outside the box. This will help me to think of different ways that may help with a difficult case. Sacred Heart has also taught me to keep working on something until I get it. Like in my math class, problems can be really challenging, but if I keep working on it, I finally find a strategy to solve it. If you’re a lawyer and have a tough case, you have to keep looking at it and working at it to find a solution.

Which of the five Sacred Heart Goals means the most you?

Faith, because it is like hope. If I didn’t have faith that the people at school had faith in me, I wouldn’t be me. My teachers and friends believe in me. With faith, you can achieve so much.

What are your afterschool activities?

I do softball, basketball and volleyball. Each team is different and I have learned so much in every sport. I

If there were only one word you could use to describe what Sacred Heart means to you, what would it be?

Inspiring! I spend most of my time here -- most of my life here! My friends, my teachers, my family are all here. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else.
