The school is unique because it is a happy, joyful place and people are really friendly.
What was your favorite academic project this year?
Since this was my first year at Sacred Heart, my favorite project was learning about the founding of the Sacred Heart schools and more about our school in New York. We made posters and I learned more about the international network of schools all over the world!

It means being loving, caring and cooperative.
What have you learned about yourself by being at Sacred Heart?
I have learned that it is okay to be yourself - everyone will be welcoming. I made a lot of friends this year. Also, I have learned that I am a good speaker. I was selected to speak at a parent event. I was nervous, but I was proud that this was my first year and my teacher selected me to speak to the new families.
What do you like to do after school?
In Middle School, our after-school activities are called electives. We have a lot of choices-creative writing, Fab Lab, Lacrosse, Soccer, Swimming, Painting, and Photography. One of my favorites is Lacrosse.
I have been doing hockey with a league in downtown Manhattan for four years. I decided to try something new when I started at Sacred Heart this year. Sacred Heart lets you try new things and I found out that Lacrosse is really fun.
In Fab Lab, we used the 3D printer, made a hotel in Minecraft, and created a game in Scratch.
Talk about a passion you developed.
I want to be an interior designer and engineer when I grow up. I have been inspired from taking painting and drawing at Sacred Heart. Also, I love math and you need that for engineering.

Cooperation.
